These terms and conditions serve as the comprehensive service agreement between The Caffeinated Cleaners, situated in Clayton, Vic, 3168, Australia, and you, for the provision of our esteemed services. We kindly request that you take a moment to thoroughly review and understand this agreement. By utilizing our services, you indicate your complete acceptance and adherence to these terms and conditions.
Carpet, Upholstery & Tile Cleaning Services
The Caffeinated Cleaners is fully committed to providing you with top-notch carpet, upholstery, and tile cleaning services at the location of your preference.
The specific details of the service will be thoroughly discussed and mutually agreed upon during the booking process. You may conveniently make bookings through phone, email, website contact forms, or our social media accounts.
We will provide you with a booking time within a 30-minute arrival window. It is important to note that we cannot be held accountable for any delays caused by traffic, previous jobs running overtime, or any other unforeseen circumstances that may result in our technician arriving late. While we will make every effort to inform you of any delays, we generally do not offer discounts or reduced prices for delays in commencing your job.
At The Caffeinated Cleaners, our primary objective is to deliver our exceptional services in a punctual, safe, and professional manner.
We take full responsibility for carrying out all work to the best of our ability and adhering to the highest professional standards of service and workmanship according to the Australian Carpet Cleaning Standard 3733: 2018.
Estimates, Quotations, and Pricing
Any price quoted to you prior to a physical inspection of the work is an estimate based on our extensive experience and the information provided by you.
All prices quoted include GST.
Quotations provided are valid for a period of 14 days.
The minimum charge for any job is $110.
Our estimates and quotations for carpet cleaning are based on a standard room size of 12sqm for both furnished and unfurnished rooms. Rooms smaller than 12sqm will be considered as one room, while rooms larger than 12sqm but less than 25sqm will be counted as two rooms. Hallways are generally counted as half a room, and stairs are counted and charged per step.
The pricing for upholstery cleaning is determined by the number of individuals who can comfortably sit on a couch, rather than the number of seat cushions. Additional charges may apply for recliners, ottomans, chaises, and loose cushions.
Quotations for rugs and mattresses are based on their respective sizes and condition (minimum charges apply).
Fabric protection is an additional charge based on the square meter or seat size of the service.
Tile & Grout Cleaning quotations are based on a per square meter basis (minimum charges apply).
Upon arrival at your premises, our technician will conduct a comprehensive inspection, assessing the actual size and condition of the rooms/furniture to be cleaned. They will confirm the final price with you before commencing the work. Generally, our quotations do not differ significantly from the estimates unless the job is substantially different from what has been described by you (e.g., larger rooms than described, heavily soiled/stained carpet or upholstery, additional rooms/seats).
During this inspection, our technician will complete a detailed condition report, documenting the condition of the premises and any pre-existing damage, staining, or wear and tear. The technician will request your signature on this condition report once they have completed their inspection and explained the required services. By signing this report, you are in agreement with the listed terms and conditions.
Please be aware that The Caffeinated Cleaners cannot be held responsible for any pre-existing conditions that are not visually apparent during the inspection of the premises. This includes issues such as unstable dyes, UV-damaged carpet or timber floors, over or under stretching of carpet, bodily fluids within mattresses, and chemical residue from previous cleaning.
Normal stains and spots are covered in the standard carpet cleaning quotation. However, difficult stains are not included and may incur additional charges as they require specialty services.
An inspection before cleaning commences will identify difficult stains that may incur additional charges. Difficult stains include, but are not limited to, grease, red wine, coffee, ink, bleach, soft drink, cordial, tea, vomit, blood, rust, urine, and pet stains.
Please be aware that difficult stains may be permanent, and The Caffeinated Cleaners does not guarantee complete removal of such stains. Additionally, deterioration, fading, heavy traffic, and wear cannot be rectified through cleaning.
Cancellation Fees and Other Charges
If, for any reason, you wish to suspend, postpone, or cancel the service, it is essential that you notify The Caffeinated Cleaners before 4pm on the business day prior to your booking.
With adequate notice, we will gladly reschedule the service to a more suitable time if required.
In the event that adequate notice is not provided, you agree to pay a cancellation fee of $110 (minimum charge) to compensate for our loss and administration costs.
For properties with limited access, such as stairs, access fees will apply. A fee of $15 will be charged per floor above the ground level in cases where there is no lift access.
Parking fees for meters or paid public carparks will be the responsibility of the customer.
If keys need to be collected and/or returned to a Real Estate Agent, a small fee based on the distance traveled will apply.
You agree to make full payment of the quoted price by The Caffeinated Cleaners upon completion of the service.
If no payment has been made by the end of the service, The Caffeinated Cleaners will make reasonable efforts to contact you for payment.
If we have agreed to invoice you for payment after the service has been completed, you agree to pay all fees due in full within 7 days of the invoice date.
Invoices unpaid for more than 30 days will incur a late payment fee of $110.
Further fees may apply for invoices unpaid beyond 30 days.
The Caffeinated Cleaners Warranty and Guarantee
At The Caffeinated Cleaners, we hold ourselves to the highest standards to ensure your satisfaction. Here’s what you can expect from our services:
- Certified Expertise: Our team of experienced professionals follows Australian Standards AS/NZS 3733:2018 to provide top-notch carpet and upholstery cleaning.
- Satisfaction Guarantee: If you’re not completely satisfied with our service, simply notify us within 48 hours, and we will happily re-clean any areas of concern.
- Limited Liability: While we strive to deliver exceptional results, we cannot accept responsibility or liability for damage or other claims reported beyond 48 hours from the completion of the service. Additionally, any insurance claims will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Customer Expectations: To ensure the best possible outcome, we kindly request the following from our valued customers:
- Provide a safe working environment for our technicians and clear, unobstructed access to the areas requiring cleaning.
- Grant our technicians access to all necessary services and utilities, including hot and cold water, electricity, and rubbish bins.
- Prior to the service, inform our technicians of any hazards, slippery surfaces, risks, or dangers.
- Secure or remove any fragile, delicate, breakable, or valuable items, such as cash, jewelry, works of art, antiques, or sentimental items, prior to our arrival.
- Understand that while we do not move furniture, if requested to do so, we cannot assume responsibility for any breakage or damage caused by our employees. We guarantee that we will handle your carpeting, upholstery, rugs, and fabric with the utmost care while they are in our custody, but we cannot accept responsibility for any damage.
- Please refrain from moving large items of furniture, especially wooden or metal pieces, within 24 hours of our service. We are not responsible for any staining resulting from the customer moving furniture onto damp carpet.
- Due to the nature of cleaning with heat and chemicals, ensure that all children and pets are kept out of the areas where the service is being performed.
- Please be aware that the carpet or floor may remain damp for several hours after the completion of our work. This may create a slip hazard when transitioning from the carpet to hard floors. We shall not be liable for any injuries or damage resulting from slippage or falls.
While we strive for excellence, there are a few things we cannot guarantee:
- We do not extend our guarantee to furnishings with permanent wear and tear, including damage from previous cleaning attempts, textile pests, sun damage, fading, traffic lane shading, and permanent stains.
- We do not accept responsibility for damage that may occur as a result of carpet seams and joins separating during the cleaning process.
- If newly laid carpet appears loose after cleaning due to inadequate stretching, please contact the company who laid the carpet for re-stretching. We cannot take responsibility for this issue.
- As manufacturers do not pre-shrink carpet, rugs, or fabric, we do not accept responsibility for any shrinkage that may occur, although we will make every effort to control it.
- We do not accept responsibility for color fastness or running of dyes, as manufacturing defects may not become apparent until after cleaning.
- The latex used in carpet backings for fringing, seaming, tape binding, and repairs may deteriorate over time and may loosen during the cleaning process. We cannot be held responsible for this natural deterioration.
- We are not responsible for any delay in drying of carpet, rugs, or upholstery due to unsatisfactory weather conditions or poor air circulation.
- When asked to clean pre-existing carpet damage, including stains, we do not take responsibility for any subsequent damage. While we strive to remove stains, chemical reactions with products used by previous cleaners may worsen the stains.
IMPORTANT: When we clean carpets, rugs, mats, etc., and upholstery in your home, we accept no responsibility for damage to timber, laminate, carpeted, rugged, or any other floor surfaces that occur during the cleaning or drying process.
The Caffeinated Cleaners reserves the right to refuse cleaning services under certain conditions or if there is a risk of damage to your items/furnishings. If you choose to proceed with the service under these circumstances, we will not be liable for any resulting damages.
Please note that The Caffeinated Cleaners reserves the right to pass on any outstanding debts to a collection agency and provide the customer’s personal details to credit reporting agencies if the account remains overdue. This may incur additional charges.
